She aims to convey a story through her designs in the way of traditional African art. Mauya prioritizes the manufacturing of her pieces locally which generates jobs for the Fashion Industry in Kenya. Mauya has also merged with Fashion Design schools to employ the \u201ccreme de la creme\u201d of new, young fashion graduates.
