Annually, <em>Vogue Italia <\/em>issues the \u2018Black Issue\u2019 that features only black models to bring attention to the black community. Sozzani traveled to Africa to experience firsthand the progress made by the African fashion industry. While on her exploration, Franca Sozzani participated in a mentoring tour of \u00a0\u201cNew African Fashion\u201d in order to fully understand their industry.
