African Fashion International<\/strong> has done it again. \u00a0They put on another show that I regret missing! \u00a0During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Africa<\/strong> (October\u00a030th<\/sup>\u00a0through November\u00a02nd)<\/sup>, designers from Senegal all the way to Mozambique presented their latest collections. \u00a0MBFWA 2013<\/strong> included several talented African designers; here’s some of our favorite.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>David Tlale<\/b><\/p>\n

As eager fashion moguls anticipated, the renowned David Tlale kicked the door open to his 10th<\/sup> anniversary showcase at MBFWA 2013<\/strong> with an AMAZING performance by Joburg Ballet<\/strong>.\u00a0 In collaboration with Vlisco<\/strong>, the designs consisted of graceful garment drape and exaggerated silhouettes that said David<\/strong> all over them.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>Duaba Serwa<\/b><\/p>\n

After a successful showing at\u00a0GLITZ Fashion Week<\/strong>, African designer Duaba Serwa<\/strong> stunned us again when it was her turn to release her new collection on the runway.\u00a0 While Ford Model Millen Magese embodied the stage, Serwa\u2019s chic designs crept on and off the runway, leaving you to want more.<\/p>\n

<\/b>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Kibonen NY<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>All the way from the Big City, Kibonen<\/strong> landed in South Africa with modern fashions that illuminated each model wearing them\u2026loved the pieces.\u00a0 We are VERY glad to have Kibonen as a client.<\/p>\n

When it comes to African fashion, one cannot go wrong with geometric print\/detail.\u00a0 This designer incorporates geometric designs with distinct tailored apparel (for men).\u00a0 Laurence Airline<\/strong> reminds us that men are still fashionable when outside of suits.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b>Bongiwe Walaza<\/b><\/p>\n

This South African native won us over with ease!\u00a0 We love how she used seasonal hues to create captivating designs.\u00a0 I am sure that all on the first row were nodding their heads.<\/p>\n
