Also a full-time Medical Technologist,\u00a0Taibat Lawal<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is the brain behind the blossoming brand,\u00a0Tee’s Designs<\/b><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Taibat<\/b>\u00a0began creating\/designing clothes and jewelry after obtaining her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Microbiology. \u00a0She then launched her accessory line in the year\u00a02012\u00a0<\/b>after obtaining her Masters in Biotechnology. \u00a0Taibat Lawal<\/b> is firm when it comes to the fact that fashion has a pattern and continues to revolve on the axis of what we call time. \u00a0This is what has been her driving force, allowing her to stand tall among her competition. \u00a0The quality, uniqueness, variety in design, and pricing of products also serve as\u00a0Tee’s Designs’\u00a0<\/b>core competencies.<\/p>\n

<\/a>AFWNY.com: What is your brand’s production process (i.e. do you manufacture or do you use cooperatives)?<\/h4>\n

Tee’s Designs:<\/strong>\u00a0The first step is sketching my designs; second, I conduct production tests until I’m satisfied with the end result. The actual production is carried out by myself and a team of women that I’ve personally instructed; they are contracted through the\u00a0International Rescue Committee Dallas<\/b><\/a>, thereby empowering refugee women here in Dallas\/Fort Worth, Texas.<\/p>\n
