Designer Riccardo Tisci expressed his fondness of the artist, saying that she is an icon with timeless style — then cleverly dressed her in collections from 2008 to present. Tisci also stated that Badu is one of the most stylish women that he has met in his life. She immediately came to mind when he was designing his S/S ’14 Collection. Riccardo Tisci’s name is on the tongues of many, due to his repetitive use of models of colour. He hopes that other designers will follow his lead; we do too!
