Nadir Tati | Angola's Celebrity Designer on the International Runway

New York, NY-June 14, 2012-Angolan designer, Nadir Tati, will exhibit her newest collection at Africa Fashion Week New York produced by Adirée. AFWNY will take place in New York City’s Financial District July 12-14 at the Broad Street.

Angolan fashion designer Nadir Tati was first introduced to the fashion world as a model who later became a designer. She finds inspiration from her own life experiences as well as from the history of her people and their culture. Early May 2012, Tati exhibited her collection in South Korea. She says, “It is always gratifying to see people’s feedback and their interest in Angola, which is very positive at the moment.” The spirit of freedom and liberty will be seen in her colorful long dresses and shirts for the African women.

AFWNY features runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designers Francis Hendy, Korto Momolu, and designers like Mafi, Attolle Collection, Geraldo Fashions and others will showcase.
