The women are making their mark on the globe but these women doing it all while being amazing, African females. On this list, there are women from all walks of life – LGBTQ+ advocates, CEOs, founders, social justice, and equal rights activists, just to name a few. Here are women writing their names on the sands of time.
1. Fortune Mbopo
She is the founder of a non-profit called Inspire a Teen. The company aims to help youth differ their way of life by awakening their creative side.
2. Michelle Mosalakae, 24
Michelle is a model and actress, as well as an activist. In 2018, she became the first Revlon ambassador with albinism.
3. Luyanda Mafanya
She is a food content creator and has one of the most appetizing Instagram feeds on the app.
4. Laura Ferreira
Ferreira is a South African based entrepreneur and business owner. She started House of Lucent – an apparel brand that focuses on being ethically and locally produced.
5. Tatjana Schoenmaker
This South-African swimmer is a Commonwealth Games Double Gold Medallistbecame the first female swimmer in eight years to a medal at the Commonwealth Games.
6. Karabo Mokgonyana
Mokgonyana is an African Youth Ambassador for Peace, as well as a Youth Advisory Panel member for the United Nations Population Fund, law student, researcher, and program director.
7. Robyn Keyser
Robyn started the unisex brand called Artclub and Friends.
8. Simbongile Ndlangisa
Ndlangisa is killing the PR game. She is the co-founder of a digital platform called MELENIAL.com and is a PR consultant manager.
9. Wandile Jama
Wandile is a content creator and co-founded the Unconventional Woman. It’s an outreach program that helps connect speakers to different schools in Africa to talk with them about varying topics from educations, sex, and self-empowerment.
10. Qiniso Van Damme
Qiniso is a model and actress. She is also a Master’s student. Van Damme appeared in the South African version of The Bachelor.
Moises is a full-time graduate student at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY reporting mainly on food and restaurants but maintains overall emphasis on arts and culture.
