What is your brand’s production process? (i.e. Do you manufacture or do you use cooperatives?)

Reuben Reuel: Everything is made to order by me and a small team of local seamstresses.

What makes your brand luxurious?

Reuben Reuel: Demestiks NYC focuses on delivering quality, well-made garments to its customers. We are dedicated to providing our consumers with exquisite designs with unique fabrics, trims, notions, and production facilities in New York City in efforts to support “domestic” commerce.

Where are you from? How has this influenced your designs?

Reuben Reuel: In Virginia Beach, VA, I grew up in a Christian home; and going to church was such a major part of my life. Going to church on Sundays was like going to a mini fashion show!  Everyone came in their finest attire and looked their absolute best.  The vivid memory of women dressed in very feminine dresses and suits in church continues to strongly influence the work that I do today. My designs are very reminiscent of the styles I remember from childhood.
