Osei-Duro Showcases Authentic Designs Inspired by Ghanaian textiles at New York Fashion Week: AFRICA

ADIRÈE today announces the upcoming showcase of OSEI-DURO during its sixth annual Africa Fashion Week, (www.AfricaFashionWeek.com) under the activation New York Fashion Week: Africa on Friday, September 11, 2015.

Osei-Duro was started by high school friends Maryanne Mathias and Molly Keogh who both shared a passion for fashion. Before the two designers had any knowledge of their future collaboration, they both chased their dreams in leaving their print in the Fashion Industry. Both Mathias and Keogh traveled around Africa gaining their inspiration from the culture that is now implemented in their designs seen in Osei-Duro. Now based in both Los Angeles, CA and Accra, Ghana, their contemporary garments are worn around the world. Osei-Duro comes to New York Fashion Week: Africa this year with the goal of getting the Global Fashion Industry on the same page as the Africa Fashion Industry: to learn the benefits of creating connections and partnerships in Ghana.
