The Collective’s participation in AFWNY this year will help promote AFWNY both in Cameroon and out of Cameroon. This will help add to the already rising buzz AFWNY already has. A representative from AFWNY will be invited to Cameroon to assist in the Cameroon International Fashion Week from where they will choose a designer who will officially take part of the event for 2013.  An AFWNY representative will also be a judge on the Super Model Search Cameroon 2013 where they will join in selecting the winner who will be model for AFWNY 2013.

The participation of Cameroonian designers is important for them to be further exposed in order to develop their market in the fast growing fashion world. The AFWNY will serve as an opportunity for the designers to showcase their talent in a more competitive environment. The pinnacle of success of CIF is to make Cameroonians become aware of Cameroonian Fashion, cultivate the unique fashion talent, expand and export to the world.

The Collective’s exposure to AFWNY will create a conscious and systematic move towards enhancing the fashion industry in Cameroon. Adiree will help bring together the major actors in the Cameroonian fashion scene so that together we can make a greater impact and have our say in the global fashion scene.  We will be looking at developing all the sectors of the fashion industry, which includes:
