New York, NY – June 2012- Mesanga will showcase Saturday, July 14th at Africa Fashion Week in New York (AFWNY). AFWNY, a luxury multi-day event produced by Adirée, will take place at the Broad Street Ballroom on July 12th, 13th, 14th in New York City’s financial District.

Cameroonian designer born in the city of Buea, Mesanga developed a peculiar interest for sketching and designing dresses for dolls at the tender age of six. Her crayon color sketches and doll clothing blossomed into fullblown women’s wear designs for competitions at the University and national level.
With a clientele consisting on young trendy girls and professionals, Mesanga aims to continue providing the colorful and high quality clothing they love. When asked about the little things that shape her products she emphasized her fascination with color and the breathtaking silhouette of the female anatomy. Her choice of mosaic golden lined patterned Ankara sets her work apart from the mass. Beyond clothing, the company produces accessories designed to seamlessly accompany the clothing.
MESANGA Fashion House will present its first ever collection, Liato La Mezrono at the African Fashion Week New York in July 2012. The collection consists of colorful, turquoise ready to wear garments, a true representation of loud and vibrant afrochicness!

AFWNY includes runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designers Francis Hendy, Korto Momolu, and designers like Mafi, Attolle Collection, Geraldo Fashions and others will showcase.
