The founder of Africa Fashion Week New York, and CEO of Adiree Public Relations, Adiat Disu, was recently asked to join other innovative thinkers and creative minds at the USAID and Corporate Council on Africa 8th U.S. Africa Business Summit. The panel highlighted strong African women who have entered the U.S. business market and are achieving great success in a variety of fields. Business knowledge of an all too often male dominated field and insight into the extraordinary lives of these women was shared by the participants in the African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program. Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, opened the conference and addressed a room filled with inspiring women of all ages saying, “Women hold the key to economic growth in Africa, just as they hold the key to economic growth around the world.” Coming from an extremely strong and accomplished woman herself, we could not agree more with her statement.
