Italian photojournalist, Daniele Tamagni, has been inspired and moved by the beautiful colors of Africa. Her work is on display at the Danziger Projects until September 10. The show, titled Africolor, is a celebration of vibrant, eye-popping, nearly shocking fabrics beautifully juxtaposed against a bevy of brown beauties. It features the beauty, and the aesthetic of images that are simply breathtaking for being just that rather than the ancient issues of race and politics that have plagued Africa and much of the photography surrounding it for so long. This exhibit seems like a real treat and I would definitely make it a point to go and see it before it’s gone.
