New York, NY-JUNE 2012 – Ama Sika Asante of Ani Siyah will showcase Saturday, July 14th at Africa Fashion Week New York. AFWNY, a luxury multi-day event produced by Adirée, will take place at the Broad Street Ballroom on July 12th, 13th, 14th in New York City’s financial District.

Ghanaian Designer Ama Sika Asante’s fashion brand Ani Siyah employs an eclectic mix of Kente, Ankara/Ntoma fabrics with leather, velvet, calfskin and a touch of crystal beads to enhance the beauty of her accessories. Her clutches are breathtakingly beautiful with touches of Ghanaian culture. Colorful, bold and yet, tasteful, Sika’s accessories are on modern women’s wish lists.

AFWNY includes runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designers Francis Hendy, Korto Momolu, and designers like Mafi, Attolle Collection, Geraldo Fashions and others will showcase.
