It Is Time To Get African Designs From The Source

For the past few fashion seasons, the “tribal trend” has been in vogue with inspirations from Africa leading the way. For their lines, designers drew from their experiences on safaris, the colors and patterns worn by traders in the markets of Marrakesh and the intricate bead-work many African women and men wear to adorn themselves.

It is time that African Designers voice themselves, and be the source of showcasing the designs, patterns and trends of their native land to the world. With the upcoming Africa Fashion Week in New York 2012, July 12, 13 and 14, African Designers are finally getting a chance to be heard!
