Kiki Kamanu Reveals Her "In-Voluntary Addiction" at London Fashion Week

The designers of London Fashion Week shined brightly, but one designer stood out to us for many reasons.  That designer was Nigeria’s own Kiki Kamanu.  Her Spring/Summer 2012 collection, titled “In-Voluntary Addiction” was revealed to the public.  The collection features a blend of vibrant prints, chiffons, and hand-embellished art motifs.  Her inspiration came from her globe-trotting childhood and multi-cultural upbringing in Lagos by Nigerian and American parents.  Kiki Kamanu makes her own rules in the world of fashion and design and her collection showed that from the eye-catching bandeau style bikinis to breathtaking full length gowns.  The collection even included a head-wear line called ‘Good Headz’ which featured floppy ’70s inspired hats named after various sun-drenched locations around the world, and a few suede bags from the Kiki Kamanu ‘Arm Kandy’ collection.
