Osei-Duro Creates a Link for Ghana Globally through Rich African Textiles

ADIRÈE today announces the upcoming showcase of OSEI-DURO during its sixth annual Africa Fashion Week, (www.AfricaFashionWeek.com) under the activation New York Fashion Week: Africa on Friday, September 11, 2015.

Osei-Duro was fostered from designers Maryann Mathias and Molly Keogh’s love for African textiles. Mathias had an enriched background in African fashion while Keogh was knowledgeable of Ghanaian textiles. After a trip to Ghana, the two designers were able to upstart a fresh, youthful, organic brand, thus Osei-Duro.

The designers has since produced modern, trendy clothing, based out of both Los Angeles, California and Accra, Ghana. Their mission is to expand sustainable production in merging companies while extending their textiles to home decor and children’s lines. Osei-Duro has not only been praised by Vogue as the “New Wave of Chic Sustainable Designers,” but has also been worn by First Lady Michelle Obama.
