House of Mucha Uses Heritage to Attract Consumers Globally

ADIRÈE today announces the upcoming showcase of HOUSE OF MUCHA during its sixth annual Africa Fashion Week, (www.AfricaFashionWeek.com) under the activation New York Fashion Week: Africa on Friday, September 11, 2015.

House Of Mucha (Pronounced: Muw-chah), is a brand inspired by native Zimbabwean Lindiwe Muchaneta. Mucha’s designs incorporate her Shona and Ndebele (Zimbabwe and South Africa) heritage. Giving credit to her diverse background, Muchaneta delivers a strong modern, retro take on fashion. 

Mucha’s designs pay homage to fashion of the 70’s using vintage sewing patterns. House Of Mucha influences brands to enterprise towards South Africa. Traditionally inspired and hand crafted, locally-made fabrics generates new jobs, through the South African Clothing and Textile Workers’ Union (SACTWU). 

These unique fabrics can be seen throughout Mucha’s designs, translating from day to evening wear. Her use of these styles provide both men and women with luxurious, contemporary African Fashion.
