Fashion Focus Ghana | Sarah Christian

It has always been a pleasure to meet with the vivacious young lady who goes by the name of Sarah Christian.  I’ve also gotten the pleasure to wear some of her exquisite designs and interview her.

“I want to contribute to the progress of the women in our society.  I want to make them feel good about what they wear when they step out into the world.”

Sarah, after a year’s study at Joyce Ababio College of Creative Design (formerly Vogue Style School of Fashion and Design), gained admission to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to study communication and design.  Initially, she did not have the confidence to design and sew for anyone so she strictly sewed for herself.  Later, Sarah Christian started designing for others due to the volume of requests from colleagues on her college campus.  Zass was what she named her brand, which later, transformed into Sarah Christian.

“Each design I make has to have an international flare added to the local structure. There is a lot of variety when it comes to African prints, so I love using them for my creations.”

Sarah Christian’s past collections, Empresarial, Chida, Vivacious and Safari (to name a few) are all diverse and very much speak for themselves. Sarah’s designs can be described as funky, sassy and classy for those with young hearts.  Ghana loves her and soon the world will too!
