New York, NY– June 2013- Adirée today announces that Safari by SK Cosmetics – founded by Miss Ghana 2011, Stephanie Karikari, is the official cosmetic partner for Africa Fashion Week  (AFWNY), held in New York . The event is brought to you by Adiree- the parent company and producer of AFWNY. With luxury giants like Estée Lauder (EL) opening a store in West Africa (specifically Lagos, Nigeria), catering to various ethnic groups, and having little to zero competition, it is great to see luxury African brands- indigenous in nature-  taking a share of the market and competing  to cater to the demands of the New African Woman. – Director of Africa Fashion Week (AFWNY), Adiat Disu .

Adiree supporting and servicing  emerging African luxury brands in fashion and beauty via its platforms and original conception of Africa Fashion Weeks in fashion capitals (  Africa Fashion Week New York, London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, ) is only part of its strategy for providing each brand with momentum in their pursuit of  market share.

“Nevertheless, it starts with a quality product.” Ms. Disu adds.

Founded by former Beauty Queen, Miss Stephanie Karkari in January 2013 in Ghana, Safari is fast evolving to be the most reliable source of classic and quality cosmetic provider for today’s trendy African ladies.

Safari currently has products ranging from Lip Sticks, Lip Balm, and Lip liners with high effects of hydration, nutrition, and moisture to provide a long lasting beauty effect.

Very aware of the ever evolving fashion scene, Safari is poised to continually research and introduce new range of products that suits the season’s lady.

Safari by SK cosmetics will be launching and presenting at AFW on Thursday, July 18 and Saturday, July 20.  During the runway shows, products will be displayed by top models from Ghana along with a mini presentation and booth set-up. In addition, her products will be available to sample within Adiree goodie bags.

AFW proclaimed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City, is set to include exhibitions, industry networking events and runway shows that hosts 21+ designers from an array of African countries as well as those from the African Diaspora. Over the past few years, the fashion industry has begun to take a liking to African fashion especially through exposure on reputable platforms including online publications such as Raine Magazine, print publications like Black Enterprise and ELLE magazine-the world’s largest selling magazine publication. These media have ultimately contributed to the growth of AFW and the African fashion industry as a whole. For more information, please visit: www.afwny.scom
