Fienes Couture: Fashion's New Aesthetic | High-Spirited High-Fashion Trends

New York, NY-June 2012- Carolyn Le’Nise of Fienes Couture will present her collection at Africa Fashion Week in New York, Thursday, July 12th. AFWNY, produced by Adirée, will take place July 12th, 13th, and 14th at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York’s Financial District.

Fienes Couture is a visual of classic styling and collaboration of rich fabrics, thus cultivating a timeless piece that speaks universally to all women. As an African American Designer, Carolyn Le’Nise strives to enhance the true essence of all women with its creations, transcending through life, love and inner spirit.

“I think some designers have sacrificed their true self in designing. Not being true to who they are but designing according to what the economy is predicting. Though I know that finances are tight I still enjoy high-end designs or couture wear. That is where I am most comfortable”. —Carolyn Le’Nise

AFWNY includes runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designers Francis Hendy, Korto Momolu, and designers like Mafi, Attolle Collection, Geraldo Fashions and others will showcase.
